Description

This entertaining recipe book features the well-known chocolatier s occasion-driven menus, ranging from casual meals to elegant dinners; from al fresco French formal table settings to garden parties; from bohemian New York lunches to colorful picnics on a Caribbean beach. Photographed on location in Honduras, America, France, Spain, and Italy, her imaginative, joyful tabletops are inspiring. Shown is the beauty of Maribel s native Honduras as well as her world today, from glamorous New York City apartments to charming SoHo lofts, and the fragrant landscapes of the South of France, the charm of the Balearic Islands, and Northern Italy. The variety of Maribel s bold flavor palette includes approachable recipes for light salads, fragrant soups, seafood, and meat dishes, as well as savory nibbles and of course, chocolate desserts and confections. They include Sopa de Capirotadas, Grilled Mahi Mahi with Cilantro and Pineapple, Short Ribs with a Chocolate Sauce, Yuca Fritters with Grated Tomato Sauce, White Chocolate Truffles with Matcha, Dark Chocolate Truffles, and a Molten Chocolate Cake. This entertaining book is not only for the chocolate lover but also for those that are looking to explore a unique Latin American-infused cuisine.
