This year marks the 70th anniversary of Dame Yvette Williams becoming the first NZ woman to win an Olympic gold medal, a feat not repeated by another New Zealand woman for another forty years. Angela Walker has written the first biography of this inspiring woman called ‘Ideals are Like Stars’ which released on the 11th April.
