We have acquired Beatnik Publishing!

We are delighted to announce that we have acquired the highly-regarded boutique publisher Beatnik Publishing. Going forward, founder and publisher Sally Greer will continue to curate and publish Beatnik books as a standalone imprint of David Bateman Ltd.

Louise Russell, publisher at Bateman, says: ‘We have long been friends and colleagues of Sally and the Beatnik team, having managed the sales and distribution of Beatnik’s excellent list for some years now. We are huge admirers of what she has built in Beatnik. We look forward to working with Sally and her authors to ensure the beautiful quality, style and substance of Beatnik continues long into the future.’

Sally Greer, publisher at Beatnik, says: ‘I’m delighted to see Beatnik become part of the Bateman family. This acquisition allows us to continue producing the high-quality books our authors and readers know and love, while also providing a solid foundation for future growth. I’m excited to remain part of the creative process and look forward to what we’ll achieve together in this new chapter. From 1 February 2025, Beatnik will become a standalone imprint under Bateman, with the same heart, creativity, and vision.’

For all our retail customers, it’s business as usual. Bateman Books will continue with the sale and distribution of all Beatnik backlist titles and new titles, as it has before.
